Living the crazy, great life!

The market continues to improve bit by bit.  The Spokane Association of REALTORS reports the following:

601 closed sales of single family homes on less than one acre and condos were reported for June. This is the highest June number of closed sales in seven years.  Sales are up 8.9% for June compared to May of this year when 551 homes were reported sold. The average sales price for June was $190,142 compared to last month’s average sales price $182,352, up 4.3%. Median sales price for June was $172,000 up 4.9% over May when median sales price was $164,000. Through the first half of 2014 sales are up 2.7% over last year, 2,548 closed sales compared to 2,480 closed sales. The average sales price through June is $181,445 up 1% over last year at the same time when the average price was $179,570. The median sales price through the first six months of this year is $165,000 up 1.3% over last year when the median sales price was $162,900. The current inventory as of this report is 2,811 single family homes on less than one acre and condos. Last year the inventory was 2,758. Current inventory is up 1.9%.  New construction sales through six months total 301 compared
to 339 last year, down 11.2%.

Did you catch that?  The best June in seven years?  Can I get a “Whoop, whoop?!”  So glad the market has continued to improve, even though it is a slowly, but surely proposition!  Sales are up. The average sales price is up.  Interest rates are still low.  It is a great time to buy and sell real estate!
