Well, Spring (felt more like Summer) arrive in Spokane this weekend with a vengeance (if sun is vengeful!). Saturday and Sunday were gorgeous, sunny and the temperatures were in the 60’s. Glorious! We enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at our church on Saturday. 8,000 eggs spread out over a few acres of farm field and hundreds of kiddos running to grab them. Believe it or not, they were all picked up in about 5 minutes! Then a couple of jumping castles, a petting zoo including day old chicks and bunnies, geese, pigs, ponies and a llama to boot! We had a great time. Then we dyed Easter eggs with all the family at our house (over 10 dozen as I recall!). The kiddos love to create wonderful eggs. We then get to eat egg salad sandwiches for days on end!
Easter was another gorgeous day with lovely church services, brunch at our house for the whole family and more time outside. My daughter set up a beach scene (umbrellas, beach toys, towels and towel side water service). It was delightful to snooze away the afternoon in the sunshine. I even got a little color on my face and arms which after the long cold Winter is oh, so delightful!
We ended the evening with a yummy dinner at Famous Ed’s (love their salads!) and then home to rent a move. We watched Rise of Guardians which was a fantastic movie. In fact, we are watching it here again this morning. As it is the kiddos Spring Break, we love getting up in the morning and being lazy watching a movie and having breakfast on the couch. I live for these moments to be sure!
With the warmer we are seeing more and more buyers coming out of hibernation! The Spokane market continues to improve.
