I spent the last week catching up on sleep after going to our company’s national convention in Nashville, Tennessee a couple weeks ago. Usually, Jeff goes with me, but this year, we decided he would stay home with the kiddos and we’d save up the funds for his company’s convention in Southern California in January – we are taking Emerson and Cole to see the big rat (otherwise known as Mickey Mouse). So, I went to Nashville with a few of my agents instead. A couple of them were younger than me with more energy and needless to say, it has been a long time since I have partied like a rock star. We had a blast, but did not sleep a ton!
The convention had some great speakers and entertainment. As always when I return from convention, I feel more knowledgeable, energized and excited to continue to fight the good fight! This year didn’t disappoint – incredible ideas, some great new technology (Total Office Resource Center – TORC) and so much more. And as for the entertainment – we enjoyed all that Nashville had to offer. We had incredible BBQ at Jack’s and checked out some local talent at various honkey tonks on Broadway including the famed Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. There is nothing quite like the sound of live music – and it is everywhere you go in Nashville!
We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland which is an amazing hotel. It is literally a city inside a city with tons of restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, and two huge indoor atriums with rivers and waterfalls – all inside. A truly incredible place to stay!
Next year, our convention is in Washington D.C., actually just outside D.C. in national Harbor, Maryland. It will be sure to be another great convention and I am already excited to go!
