So today is the last day of April and true to form, it is raining! We can hope that tomorrow we’ll see the sunshine. I am already seeing the flowers around town. Not in my yard because I have a black thumb and typically don’t have much growing besides the plants my builder had the landscaper plant around my yard. A couple of them do have flowers on them throughout the year, but as for putting in bulbs in the Fall and seeing the early spring crocus, tulip, etc. in the Spring – not in my yard!
Had another great and busy weekend – Soccer Saturday USA again with a game in Cheney this weekend. I know I am silly to complaint about driving 30-45 minutes for a game when soon we’ll be driving all over the state for games, but really, one hour in the car for a 45 minute game – seems crazy! At leas it wasn’t at the crack of dawn and we were able to have a bit of a relaxing Saturday morning. It is my favorite kind of morning, enjoying a leisurely coffee, cuddling with the kiddos on the couch watching cartoons. Do you remember Saturday morning cartoons when you were growing up? It was like Christmas every Saturday morning to be able to get up and watch tv before we did our Saturday chores. I hope my kiddos are having eh same experience. Then, after an hour or two of leisure time – its off to meet a client, grocery shop, pick up my mom to take her to the game, run to soccer, back to mom’s to help with some stuff, then off to dinner.
Sunday is equally crazy now with Jeff and I playing softball. It’s off to church, to the in-laws for brunch, running to softball, pitching (hee hee, no pun intended) the 360 campaign for our church to our fellow softball players (a campaign to build a new playground, improve our building, etc.), then to the second softball game in our double header, home to make dinner, then time with the kids and then they are off to bed.
Whew – so much for a relaxing weekend of R & R! It seems that Monday morning is the chance to rest and catch our breath from the craziness of our weekends! I cannot wait for our family vacation this Summer. We’re still trying to decide what to do or where to go. Anyone have any ideas for me for something that doesn’t require getting on an airplane?
The market continues to thrive (compared to the market of the past few years) and Jeff and I are both staying so busy. Still working way to many hours, late at night, but know that the payoff is coming. We are so thankful for the business we have and the ability to thrive in our market.
I hope all of you are able to take a step back and enjoy this Spring. If you haven’t already, start looking for the gorgeous flowers and flowering trees all around you. Just don’t look in my yard!
Have a great week everyone!
